Throughout the next three gatherings we will place compassionate awareness around our heart centers. During the Heart Spacesequence, we will set out to explore any heavy layers lingering in our self respect (March), tackle any old traumas or worries around our self love (April), and experiment with the masks of our self awareness (May). The gatherings are offered with intention to revive tribal wisdom within our modern communities. It is through elevating our awareness, that we can return to our families, friends, and loved ones as empowered women who are able to renew what sometimes seems to be “broken” around us- relationships, financials, health and wellness.

During March, Mother Earth gifts us with the Autumn Equinox. This is a time to let go or purge any excess emotion or thought pattern that does not serve our highest selves. Summer is a very extroverted and public time of the year- we share our energies with others more frequently, we are generally more active, and we seek to explore the outdoors and be outside with nature more than any other season. As we move forward into the opposite polarity of winter, we prepare ourselves to return to self, the interior of our vital being. Opening and clearing the heart space is a necessary step on this journey because as woman, we tend utilize our heart for the primary source of energy to support all that surrounds us. And as Mother Nature takes the Autumn season to break down all that was built, our feminine can find ourselves to be lost or vulnerable during this time of exposure. Also, the feminine returns to her most clearly intuitive or psychic winter energy. To prevent the extra stress or ailments and to allow our psychic potential, we will spend Autumn letting go of the old and useless. Doing the preparation work now, clearing the heart space, is like preparing the field of our third eye to incorporate our inner knowing into our everyday being. Then, when winter’s breeze appears, we will concentrate on building our intuition in those soulful-solstice months June and July.

Remember the gatherings are offered as a guide, an inspiration, and as a platform for learning new things and exploring parts of your being, even your “dark side of the moon”, in a safe and supported space. All are welcome, as no experience or specific knowledge is required. We strive to make it a space for community, sharing, and fun!

In light and love,

 Gem & Tara

Simply Being Women Gatherings

0414527481 or 0421785129

An asked donation of $20 will be collected to cover group expenses. RSVP is not required, but appreciated.

LOCATION: Cronulla Yoga Studio, Suite 1/57-61 Cronulla St, Cronulla

Simply Being Women

A gathering for women

Relax & Rejuvenate in the company of fellow women.

Learned more about being empowered by your femininity.

A mixed pot of activities, meditation, and discussion each month to help honor the woman within.

Our women’s gathering is an opportunity for you to replenish your wonder woman vitality amongst the hustle and bustle of everyday life in Sydney. Allowing nurturing attention to our deepest sacred space, and using the energy of the circle to rest in, we each honored our most precious source of internal energy- our flowing wombs, and celebrated the gifts we receive from Simply Being a Woman.

Now, take a second to think of the last time you gave yourself freedom in your busy schedule to relax in your womanhood among your sisters…learning and sharing the beauty of secret women’s business? This month, you are welcome and/or welcomed back to a place of support and nurture to reflect upon the waters of our soul through dance and movement as we meet on Friday 10th of September in the sun sign of Virgo (water element) and during a waxing Libra moon. You do not need special knowledge or talent to attend; your presence alone is a unique gift for the group.

Why a Circle ?

This focused energy on the feminine being is a mostly forgotten ritual of all of our ancestors. It does not matter which land-womb we were born from, our great indigenous grandmothers from the diverse cultures habitually marked their monthly lunar cycle by gathering together to simply be in secret woman’s business collectively. This moon lodge time was spent rejuvenating their nurturing forces, resting their motherly responsibilities, and renewing the natural feminine strength that would serve them throughout their following month of womanly responsibilities. It has been a time of women's business.

My younger sister of four years had a beautiful baby boy, the first one in our family, in mid January. By the second week in February I flew over to the USA to spend three weeks with her to help and support her in any way I could be of assistance.

I then travelled from Tennesse to New York and spent another week with a girlfriend. This woman is the daughter of one of the participants to the gatherings and a very giving compassionate woman. This friend took me on a road trip with her girlfriends to a Tipi meeting in Maine (an 8 hour drive when you don't stop to eat). Road trips are amazing journeys. The Tipi meeting was on an Indian reservation with Native American Indians running the meeting, this was a dream coming to fruition.

I then returned to Sydney by the second week of March.

It's amazing how much changes in a month. I found it took me a couple of weeks to adjust to the changes I had come home to....

In the last week my brother and his wife had their first baby. This is a very exciting time for my family.

In June my brother-in-law and his wife a due to have their baby girl.

I feel it's a time for family and for new and old projects to emerge and be completed.

This decision has not been an easy one. I also feel that I just don't have the juice to keep holding the space for the gatherings at the moment. I know that as one door closes another opens. I started this group with the dream and intention of falling pregnant and starting a family and growing a supportive community of women. As I am not yet with child I feel this dream is slipping away and it's time for me to let it go and move on.

I have had a wonderful time over the years and have learned an grown in many ways from all of the support the women have shared with me over the years.

Thank you to those of you who have participated.

Merry Meet & Merry Part & Merry Meet Again!
In love & light
Namaste
Tara :-)

About the Facilitator ! Melanie ~ April 9th

Bellydance with Melanie Hfsteters

This is a time to celebrate with like minded goddesses all the gatherings you've shared this year. Dance is the oldest form of spiritual expression which celebrates the Great Goddesses of Earth, food and life. Through bellydance we connect to the pulse of life with the flowing movements, the unconscious is stimulated and this leads to greater awareness and expansion into unity.
The dance also gives expression to the two ancient forces that live in every woman, the natural and the wild self! When both sides are given expression a woman can enjoy all her strength and energy living intensely in the moment.

Bellydancing is a dance of isolation in which the various parts and centres of the are moved independently from each other and yet end up forming a unity. Strength for the movements is drawn from the belly which is linked to the centre of gravity in Mother Earth and every movement returns to the centre.

Our celebration will take you through the basics of bellydance and the use of the veil. The hypnotic movements of bellydancing come from the joints: the trunk, pelvis, belly and ribcage are intensively used to strengthen and vitalise a woman's sexual force. The dance movements correspond to the five major body centres: the head, the breast, the belly, the pelvis and the back.

1. The head or cranium connects the brain, the cerebellum and the brainstem. The cranium is connected to the neck's nervous network which comes out of the first four cervical vertebrae. This area is stimulated by head circles and swings.

2. The breast or thoracic cavity, which contains the lungs and the heart. This is the location of the arms nervous network and is stimulated through shoulder shimmies, rib cage, serpent arms and all movements that entail open-stretched arms.

3. The belly or abdominal cavity holds the pancreas, the kidneys, the peritoneum as well as the stomach, the liver, the gallbladder, the spleen and the small and large intestine. Belly rolls, figure eights and double circles stimulate this area.

4. In the basin or the pelvic cavity we have the bladder, the sexual organs, the colon and the rectum. This area is stimulated by pelvic swings and hip circles.

5. The back or dorsal cavity is strengthened by all head movements, shoulder exercises and pelvic movements. Each movement is dependent on the flexibility of the pelvic joints and these in turn are moved by the largest and strongest muscles of our whole body, those in the buttocks and upper thighs.

By freeing the movements of the pelvis and the spine all internal organs can be stimulated. So come and join us for a terrific evening of celebration and strengthening of your body.

Melanie Hofsteters
Born into the Celtic tradition in Galway, Ireland.Today, Melanie lives in Bundeena, Sydney and is an established shamanic healer, trained in the shamanic drumming discipline by the late Ian Hutchinson. She is dedicated to living and teaching shamanic consciousness in everyday life. She was featured on Channel 9's "Getaway " program and her drumming circle at Cronulla Yoga centre was showcased in a SMH arts cameo.
"Drumming is the heartbeat of Mother Earth"

Her exceptional drumming gifts are further blessed by the strength and clarity of her shamanic singing voice. She makes healing drums and has drummaking workshops for individuals or groups.

Her healing was further developed when she apprenticed to Cuauhyeliztli Gitti Rattay in the Mexihka (Aztec) tradition. Its roots are in the Olmec & Toltec cultures. Melanie is also a teacher, artist and Reiki Master.

Additional workshops have included rattle, mask and healing-doll. I followed an administrative career after completing her BA in Canberra. After having a baby in 2000 it was time for a career change motherhood and professional Tarot Reader. I was then "told" to start teaching Tarot in 2001. I began studying Kinesiology in 2001 and am qualified to teach "Touch for Health".

My Tarot Class is designed to run over three days (usually a week apart), Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced. This takes students from a basic understanding of the cards to being able to read for family and friends to a professional level. I recommend learning with the Rider Wait or Universal Wait deck. All notes will be supplied.

Touch for Health (TFH) was originally designed in the 1970's and is divided into 4 x two day courses . This course is a great introduction into kinesiology and at completion of Level 4 participants can register with Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and start working with clients.

TFH1 (16 hours) gives the basic introduction into muscle testing, the meridians of the body and the Triangle of Health (Physical, Emotional and Chemical - nutrition and toxicity). Class fees include the textbook and certificates of attendanceIf students wish to continue and complete all four units I then recommend that they sit for the proficiency test (one practical exam and 60 multiple choice questions) then the 64 hours can be accepted by AKA as "assessed" hours.

For further enquiries please contact Ruth Romen on 0414 581 392.

About the Facilitator ~ Kay ~ September 19th

Word Whisperings - I was inspired to create a writing group, after attending two writing workshops by Suzanne Nazenby, Skeletons & Dirty Linen, on how to write authentic family stories.
Dreaming of the saying, “stop and smell the roses along the way” guided me to, “stop and write the story”
Having attended Tara’s Goddess Gatherings from their inception, and meeting and making many new friends over several years, every gathering, a jewel in a never ending kaleidoscope of spiritual delight.
I welcome and encourage you to share your story and enter the fascinating, rewarding and relaxed world of “only for now” unknown writers. Everyone loves to listen to a storyteller, how exhilarating, when we provide the audience (our group) to expand your exceptional talents, a whole new world is waiting for you to discover, and the only tools you need to open the door is your heart, a pencil and a sheet of paper.

The aim of our Word Whispering monthly group is a sacred journey, that we travel, called life’s journey, and a creative writing class is being held at our Yoga centre, once a month, to lift the veil of our memory, and pen to paper the wonderful experiences that have carried us to who
we are to-day, this very moment. Some may have writing experience and some none,
no matter, now is the time for creating, so together we will share, help and enjoy the bonding of friendship and fun, of experiencing the transformation of a clearer understanding of ourselves by peeling away the layers of self mystery………and create a story unique from all others………….
We will also share our writings, story telling and poetry. Remember to bring along your pens, pencils, clip board, photos of a special friend, or crystal or any object that is special to you that you may want to share, show and tell about.

For more Info Phone Kay Moore: Mob: 0413497065 or email: kay_moore@unwired.com.au

Women ~ Embracing Womanhood

Woman
Embracing Womanhood

There are many ways and myriad reasons for women to honor and embrace all that they are. And when any individual woman chooses to do so, all women collectively move closer to becoming what they are truly capable of being. By honoring her experience and being willing to share it with others—both male and female—she teaches as she learns. When she can trust herself and her inner voice, she teaches those around her to trust her as well. Clasping hands with family members and friends, coworkers and strangers in a shared walk through the journey of life, she allows all to see the self-respect she possesses and accepts their respect, too, that is offered through look, word, and deed.

When a woman can look back into her past, doing so without regret and instead seeing only lessons that brought her to her current strength and wisdom, she embraces the fullness of her experience. She helps those around her to build upon the past as she does. And when she chooses to create her desires, she places her power in the present and moves forward with life into the future.

Seeing her own divinity, a woman learns to recognize the divinity in all women. She then can see her body as a temple, appreciating its feminine form and function, regardless of what age or stage of life she finds herself. She can enjoy all that it brings to her experience and appreciate other women and their experiences as well. Rather than seeing other women as competition, she can look around her to see the cycle of life reflected in the beauty of her sisters, reminding her of her own radiance should she ever forget. She can then celebrate all the many aspects that make her a being worthy of praise, dancing to express the physical, speaking proudly to express her intellect, sharing her emotions, and leading the way with her spiritual guidance. Embracing her womanhood, she reveals the facets that allow her to shine with the beauty and strength of a diamond to illuminate her world.

From Daily Om http://www.dailyom.com/ for more inspirational & uplifting thoughts.

Facilitator ~ Jeni ~ June 27th

Jeni would like to offer the Goddess gathering some Qi Gong practice.
Jeni Afonso has worked in health and fitness for the last 20 years. I offer you a fond and heartfelt ‘hello’!
I am most blessed to be offered an evening with Tara to co-facilitate an evening with the Goddesses of Tara’s world.
I have been with Tara on the journey of life for a few years now and have had the honour and pleasure of working with Tara on many levels. The Goddess Gatherings have been one of the avenues which I have been greatly blessed to be part of. The time has come again for me to be graciously asked to be a part of an evening of insight and upliftment and I lovingly said ‘Yes’!
For this sacred evening I would like to take the opportunity to channel for you.
For the life skill that I have been blessed with is my ability to channel the words of wisdom directly from Spirit as to ‘The Answers’ we require on the earth plain to enable us to align and flow with the utter Infinite Perfection that life is meant to be.
When I say ‘Infinite Perfection’ I do not mean a static state of unachievable goals. What I mean is the recognition of who you are in the ‘Perfect’ essence of you and the ‘Perfect’ reflection of this essence out into your everyday life, that then reveals to you the ‘Perfection’ that is always available to you, moment-to-moment, day-to-day. That then enables you to live increasingly in peace, calm, safety and security.
So I would like to be allowed to channel this wisdom directly to you from the Source of All to awaken you more fully to walking in line with the ‘Infinite Perfection’ so that you come away from the evening ‘feeling’ and ‘knowing’ that you are taken care of and is, has been and always will be well.
So it would be most wonderful to share this evening with you!!!
Blessings to all!!!
If you would like to discuss anything regarding the channeling, what to expect, your own personal life situation before the evening then please contact me on:
T: (02)9531 6752
M: 0412 499 758
Or
Email me through my website:
http://www.coreessencehealing.com.au/
I am looking forward to sharing the evening with you.
Love Jo xxx

Professional Profile - Joanne M Prior
Joanne M Prior
Core Essence Healing

Qualifications:
BSc.(Nutrition)
Grad. Cert. Counselling
Reiki Master

Title:
Spiritual Clairvoyant Mentor, Counsellor and Channel.

What Joanne offers through her work:

“I work with born Leaders seeking the answers as to 'how to?' bring their lives into alignment with how life is meant to be for them, not how it has become. I work intensively, but efficiently and effectively, to bring their mind-set into alignment with a way of thinking and perceiving life to be that will ensure life works for and with them to deliver all that is good. From here these Leaders then live by example in the thoughts they think, language they speak, the actions they take and the life they draw to them. I do this all by channeling the voice of the essence of them selves so they hear their own truth. It is miraculous and life-transforming. All my work is carried out with infinite success via the telephone and email. My website www.coreessencehealing.com.au carries further testament to this. In summary I dramatically reverse and recreate people's lives from disaster to all good, simply from mind-set change by aligning that person to the way they are meant to be thinking for them uniquely and individually”.

About the Facilitator ~ Meagan ~ March 28th

March Goddess Gathering

Meagan is a Kundalini Yoga Teacher at Cronulla Yoga Centre and also runs her own business in Breathworks and Holistic Massage at Caringbah Health Care Centre. These patterns of suppressing our 'True Beings' are taught to us from a very early age as we conform to the way our elders and society dictate to us who we should be, rather than embracing and nurturing the beautiful and magnificent creatures we have always been and always will be.
Through breathwork and some fun Kundalini yoga techniques. Meagan will show you how to tap into your darkness so you can consciously make choices to move towards freedom and light. In 2001 Suzanne established WytchyWays Workshops and has since co-facilitated esoteric workshops and retreats on such diverse subjects as Shamanism, Menstrual Wisdom, and Ecstatic Dance. After graduating as a psychotherapist Suzanne established SpiritBeing and now includes workshops in SoulCollage and creative writing while continuing to explore the magical realms, such as the Mysteries of Avalon.

"Everything I do is inspired and guided by my life experiences, my connection to community, family, friends, nature, creativity, dance, voice, music, love and my sense of the Divine."

SoulCollage: ~ February 28th
Imagine learning to make your own personal deck of oracle cards and then consulting them. One by one you can create amazing cards by selecting images, cutting them out and pasting them onto pieces of blank card. Each SoulCollage card you make will reflect one facet of your Self - your Soul. As you make more cards the evolving deck will reflect the many aspects, the extraordinary panorama which is ‘you’ as a whole Being - your SoulCollage. Suzanne Naseby, a SoulCollage facilitator, will introduce the SoulCollage® process as created by Seena B. Frost in her book SoulCollage.

"I really enjoyed the workshop on Sunday. Thank you so much. Your presentation was wonderful and it was so nurturing to be in the group environment, making cards and doing readings." In order to tell an authentic life story we must go beyond the periphery and find the deeper motivations for our family story. Sometimes we need to rattle a few skeletons and air a bit of dirty linen, but this is the stuff that makes the most compelling reading. Suzanne Naseby will give you a taste of this fascinating workshop by introducing you to some of the ideas and techniques she and her mother, Eileen Naseby author of "Usula: A Voyage of Love and Drama', have developed.

"I had no idea I could write like that, the emotions that were present on the page truly surprised me." It's not uncommon for Suzanne to be contacted by radio stations asking her to cast love spells on Valentine's Day and what the significance of pumpkins are on Halloween, as well as by individuals looking for spiritual guidance (often triggered by tragic love). Suzanne has interviewed Fiona Horne, facilitated a workshop and ritual for Starhawk, one of the founders of modern Wicca, and hosted many magical performances for our own divine Priestess of Pagan song, Wendy Rule.

"Thank you so much for organising a great workshop. We are now three quarters through the year.

In August I (Tara) led the ladies through a meditation to help source a vision and from there we each created our own vision board for the future. We then dimmed the lights and explored singing through the use of a e i o & u. The ladies loved it and asked if we could do it again.

In September Lucille helped us Cut the Ties that Bind.

In October I (Tara) again connected the ladies with their voices after a guided meditation. Can you believe it?
Has the year been travelling quickly for you? It has for me.

In May Marika shared her knowledge and understanding of Esoteric Healing with the group.
Esoteric = Inner-most To live an esoteric way of life is to discern and make choices from one's inner-heart.
We practiced an exercise using the 'Gentle Breath', breathing gently with your focus at the tip of your nose.
We were also reminded to 'be the change you want to see in the world'.

In June Jeni shared with the group a Qi Gong sequence that was very energising and uplifting. We then moved into some dancing followed by music making. The girls love to dance here. I also personally love to dance and making music, it was a lot of fun. As we didn't have a talking cirlce last month we all enjoyed sharing at this months talking circle and realised how much we look forward to it.

In July Sue shared with us her knowledge of the Tarot. Using a traditional deck Sue explained some of the meanings of the cards along with explaining a basic reading for those of us who didn't know. We also shuffled the deck with each lady taking 3 cards each and then sharing with the circle our cards. It was so interesting that all the cards seemed spot on even for everyone. Even for the last lady in the circle who had less cards to choose from.

The rest of the year sure looks interesting.

About the Facilitators - August ~ November 2008

GODDESS EVENING AUGUST 2ND ~ Vision Board & Finding Your Voice

With Tara Er

The group this evening will be lead through a meditation to inspire a vision to create a vision board, then an exploration of finding your voice.

ABOUT TARA

Tara Er has been soul searching since 1988 attending personal growth workshops and seminars which include Karate, Tai Chi, Meditation, Reiki, Aboriginal Studies, Native American Indian Studies & Yoga. type='text'>2008 1st Quarter

Can you believe we are almost through the first quarter of the year of 2008.
This year for me is travelling so quickly, so much has been happening.

In February the women's group was guided through some beautiful belly dancing from Melanie followed by a meditation where Melanie used her drum and beautiful singing voice to lead us on a sacred inner journey - very powerful and moving.

In March the group received myself leading the women in a goal setting journey, paving the way to becoming Clear, Focussed, for 2008.

In April Joanne Prior of Core Essence Healing focussed the group on the life lesson of 'Me First' then lead us through an amazing meditive journey of understanding 'Me First', we then shared our meditive journey with each other and Jo gave us indivual affirmations to work with for us to understand better the life lesson of 'Me First'.

I'm now looking forward to the rest of the year.
<img width='1' height='1' It will be a fun and revealing evening for all.

WHAT IS ESOTERIC HEALING?

As everything is energy, Esoteric Healing has the ability to have profound results in creating real change...by healing the root cause and not just temporarily
alleviating symptoms. It helps you reconnect to the truth of who you are…joy, harmony, and stillness and love. People are impulsed towards healing sessions for many different reasons…physical pain, work, family or relationship problems, stress, illness or disease, terminally ill, or just want to connect more deeply with their own truth. Many people have tried many modalities and “self-help” alternatives and they have found that they do not work. When they come to esoteric healing, they are generally ready to look within. For it is within ourselves that the truth is found.
To truly heal we must come back to our harmonious and loving centre and take responsibility for all that we have created. This is the miracle of self-empowerment, self-healing and claiming yourself back! It is a liberating and wonderful feeling to experience energetic freedom, wholeness, and your essence in its hearty lightness of being.

Coming to know your essence and living from this centre is a truly wonderful gift to yourself!

ABOUT MARIKA

Marika Cominos has over 20 years teaching experience working with the body as a Yoga & Meditation Teacher, Personal Trainer, Acrobatic Teacher, and Elite Acrobatic Performer. Her professional background began at the young age of 13 as a performer and teacher in the Flying Fruit Fly Circus and Circus Oz.

As an Esoteric Healer, Marika understands the mind/body/soul connection and works with the clarity of energy to offer an innermost approach to wellness, assisting clients towards positive change.

She is a ‘Change Agent’ who is interested in self empowerment and human potential, thus supporting clients towards self-healing and positive life changes.
Marika is dedicated to living her truth, which is playful and a journey of the heart.

“True healing is about returning to our harmonious and loving essence.”

GODDESS EVENING JUNE 6TH

Jeni would like to offer the Goddess gathering some Qi Gong practice and would like to focus on honnoring the self and encourage everyone to fully appreciate what wonderful people they are.

Jeni Afonso has worked in health and fitness for the last 20 years. Jeni is a fitness instructor and personal trainer. She teaches Tai Chi, Stretch & Relax, and Fitness Classes for all ages and fitness levels. She has produced a relaxation CD and also an exercise DVD.

GODDESS EVENING JULY 4TH

My name is Suzanne Ward and have I attended the Gathering of Goddess over the years with other like minded women who are also on the same journey as me. During times of healing I have found the Women’s Circle of great benefit where I can speak freely and openly and be surrounded by women who are compassionate and understanding, I also have been able to express myself through dance and song which has been extreme fun. Because the Gathering of Goddesses has proven such a positive step during my life’s journey I would like to bring to the circle in 2008 my knowledge of the Tarot and intuition with these mystical cards and the role they play in our lives. If you would like to know more about the Tarot please visit http://www.tranquilloft.com.au/ and look under the heading workshops, there is a link that will take you to this magical site.

2008 Goddess Gatherings

Fridays

7 - 10pm

$20 (conc. $10)

February 8th - Belly/Veil Dancing with Melanie

March 14th - Getting Clear & Focused for 2008 with Tara
April 11th - Core Essence Healing with Jo
May 9th - Esoteric Healing with Marika
June 6th - with Jeni
July 4th - Tarot with Sue
August 1st - with Tara - Creating a Vision & Finding Your Voice
September 5th - Breaking the Ties that Bind with Lucille Urquhart
October 3rd - with Tara
November 7th - Energy Flows where Attention Goes! Fantastic news. The women's circles of the North and South have joined forces to bring you a potent possibility. The opportunity to explore your sensual feminine in a bigger venue, with more room to dance combined with the women's circle from Cronulla that has been going now for five years. A powerful possibility to take yourself away from your world (wherever you live) and travel to a new part of town and a new part of yourself. Sometimes we need to go away for a while to get perspective.

I am very excited to introduce Tara Persephone who runs Cronulla Yoga and facilitates monthly circles down south.

We have so much to offer one another. My love of dance and Tara's love of circles combined with our mutual life work of inspiring women in sacred space. Together we have conceived our first combined event. Please come and support our pioneering work.

We believe in the transformational power of sacred women's space. If you have never experienced this, what are you waiting for? Words cannot explain what is possible for us when we meet in this way. What I can say is that my life is irrevocably altered after each and every gathering. Come on down!!!! This is not the gym or the mothers group this is......Sacred Woman.

She lives inside every cell of your being. Awaken to Her. You will feel it if you are ready to come or not. If you get a yes to this work......then book in today. It means nothing if your inner self says yes and you hold her back by saying no. Haven't we done enough of this? Please honour yourself. It's time.

Our intention for this gathering is that we melt into our pleasure and connect with our yearning. One breath at a time opening to what wants to be felt..... absorbing the whispers of what longs to be heard and spoken of. There is no nudity and no sex, don't worry it's all with clothes on and is very much an inner journey even though you are in a group.

Come one, come all....carpool (yes carpool) with a bunch of courageous women just like you to the beautiful South.......in a new part of town......in a new way.......take a risk..... do something different (if you always do what you've always done you'll get the same result)........come with us on a new journey inward.....come out of your busyness....... step inside. Pull back the blanket and see who lays underneath.

Dear Woman
You are invited to a

 Sacred Woman Gathering
In ancient times women gathered in circles to discuss important things, heal, birth, and nurture themselves. They gained healing through the magic of Mother Nature, spirit and one another. Women of all ages were acknowledged for their divine gifts; radiance, creativity, fertility, intuition, strength and wisdom. Living in a female body can be a divine mystical experience. We have a way together. The way is receptive, connected, nurturing and incredibly powerful. Come along and feel it for yourself. We are the ones we have been waiting for.

 Friday 12th October
6.45pm arrival for a 7pm start - 10pm
Cronulla Yoga Centre, Suite 1 /57-61 Cronulla Street, Cronulla
Entrance via Purley Place. Above Thy Restaurant

 Sexual Healing
Deep inside there lives a memory of a time when we knew bliss. A time when we knew pleasure lived within us and we were the home of ecstasy. A time when we were safe to feel the rise and fall of our love waves. A time when we were not afraid to ride the wave right to the shore. No matter what we have been through we are still free to swim in a passionate ocean.

If we are single or in a relationship we can access enjoyment and a feeling of safety. A place where we are free to express whatever wants to be expressed. We can hear the sound of the ocean if we get close to the sea. We can feel the rhythm if we surrender to the drumming.

We women learn well to suppress, stifle, contort and manipulate our sexuality. We can suppress our energy and lock ourselves away or spray our energy out all over the place. We can offer ourselves freely or as a reward and punishment system. There are a myriad of options in between these poles. We can risk being feminine if we are willing to listen to and care for ourselves. We are women now. Yet inside we often feel afraid and girlish. We have so much to learn about ourselves and much to speak of.

We can sleep in hiding like a cobra coiled in a basket... longing and waiting for the music to begin. We can rise up from our sleep and in so doing we risk everything. For here all will be revealed.

Finding a place of intimacy with ourselves can be the first step in rediscovering our secret garden. How is your sensual garden? Alive and dancing? Timid and shy? Flowing and flowering? Tied up in knots and held down? Forgotten and filed away in the too-hard basket? Frightened and in hiding? Salubrious and overflowing with juice?

One of the greatest ways to awaken ourselves as women is to dance. We will begin the evening with a guided dance meditation. This is for everyone. If you haven't moved your body in years or are terrified of being seen come along. You are safe here. We will slowly begin to melt the armouring around us, coming home to our inner world... the underbelly of the life we live. The womb is the creator of many things. What is cooking in your sensual kitchen? Are you getting a whiff of anything?

"The more a woman can melt into her body and experience herself from within, the more she will feel ecstatic"

Diana Richardson Author of 'Tantric Orgasm for Women'

Wear something you can move freely in. Bring a warm blanket, a cushion and water to drink.

Investment: $20 for previous attendees, $30 for new attendees.

RSVP: Monday 8 October

Contacts: Angela Fitzgerald. Home: 99605924 Mobile: 0411592915
Tara Persephone Er Mobile: 0414527481

Facilitators: Angela Fitzgerald and Tara Persephone Er

About Angela
Angela is a mother, massage therapist, doula and dancer. She is passionate about her creative work. She aims for peace and balance in her life, work and relationships.

About Tara
Tara is a teacher of Iyengar Yoga and she is the founder of the Cronulla Goddess Circle. She has facilitated and nurtured that circle for five years now. She is passionate about working with women and holding sacred space.

What women are saying about Sacred Woman Gatherings...

" I was embarrassed that I still had issues around my mother, sister, women in general. I knew I was missing out on 'girly' friendships and I realised that I hadn't been speaking my truth among women. I was invited to a Sacred Woman Circle, and with apprehension and excitement I went along. From the moment I walked in to Angela's home, I felt nurtured and supported by the Goddesses there and the inviting atmosphere that had been created, that seemed to whisper "Come in, come in to play". We did play, and we spoke of what was needed, and amongst the magic I found ...... myself, beautiful sisters, loving mothers, playful daughters." Sherry

"I felt really safe to express myself and this gave me the opportunity to challenge myself. I had a great time." Athena

"Magical… and an incredibly nurturing and relaxing experience." Katrena

"I always feel lighter and happier after dancing and sharing with the women." Julia

"Trust me, just come along and see what happens...you'll love it. We owe so much our health to the water in our body.
Then, let us send our Love and Thanks to all the water on Planet Earth. 70% of the surface of the Earth is occupied by water. The environment on planet Earth is maintained by the water circulating in various forms. If it had not been for water, life would not have been created on planet Earth.
To make this event a global one, we have determined July 25 as "World Day of Love and Thanks to Water".
We have a vision that on this day, our Earth will be filled with beautiful golden/silver light of Love and Thanks that is flowing from the hearts of each and every one of us. Golden/silver light is the highest vibration in the range of visible light, and it will heal and cleanse all the water on earth, be it water of the ocean or that of our own body.

For more information http://www.thank-water.net/english/index.html

Monthly Saturday Womens Circle

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5083988206970437538" style="FLOAT: right; We had a fantastic evening. There were some old faces from circles gone by and there was also some new faces.

I would like to share a summary of the evening with you;

After a welcome and introudction the evening began with our first talking circle to break the ice so we could begin I led the Goddesses through a Meditation to create Sacred Space and to prepare them for the work/session that Joanne Prior of Core Essence Healing would led the Goddesses through.

Joanne led us through a very powerful Core Essence Healing session/meditation asking us. initiating us to connect/receive the Infinite best for ourselves. The mediation was to discover what the Core Issue that may be present preventing the flow of the Infinite best within each of us.

After this deep relaxing, connecting meditation with ourselves we then set ourselves up in groups of 3 or more and discussed our experience of the meditation.

After this sharing Joanne reconnected with the Goddesses, handed each of us 'How to Manifest your Dreams Come True' handout and then offered us all a blessing for the year.

We then set ourselves up in four smaller circles for a focussed talking circle.

Then we reformed our larger circle, moved through a meditation to close the circle and completed the evening with the sharing of the 'Merry Meet, Merry Part' song.

Every circle is very different, not one is the same. I send a thank you to all the women that joined us this evening and sharing your stories with us to help us on our own road of healing. I look forward to meeting with you again in the near future.

Sisters

A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day drinking iced tea with her mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter.
"Don't forget your Sisters" she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. "They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need Sisters.
Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them.
Remember that "Sisters" means ALL the women...your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too. You'll need other women. Women always do."
What a funny piece of advice the young woman thought.
"Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple world?"
"I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!"
But she listened to her mother. She kept in contact with her Sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her Mom really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon woman, Sisters are the mainstays of her life.
After more than 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned:

THIS SAYS IT ALL:
Time Passes.
Life Happens.
Distance Separates.
Children Grow Up.
Jobs Come and Go.
Love Waxes and Wanes.
Men Don't Do What they're Supposed To Do.
Hearts Break.
Parents Die.
Colleagues Forget Favours.
Careers End.

BUT....Sisters are there no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away that needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters,
daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, nieces, cousins, and extended family all bless our life. The world wouldn't be the same without women and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we still need each other.

PS. I don't know the author of this however it has been emailed to me many times. One of the Goddesses that has attended our circles over the years suggested it would be good to have it on the website, I hope it touches your heart as it has mine.

2007 Goddess Gatherings

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5083997449740058546" style="FLOAT: right; a point of balance, after which the forces of light gain power and preeminence over the powers of darkness until it reaches its ultimate at Midsummer.
Deities honored during this festival are those of the maiden goddess and the youthful, warrior god. The sabbat takes its name from Eostra (Ostara), the Goddess of the Dawn, the Saxon Goddess who heralds the triumphant rebirth of the Sun and the return of the greening season. Hellenic traditions celebrate the return of Persephone, Demeter's daughter, from Hades. Some sects see this as the time of courtship between the God and the Goddess, whose relationship will then be consummated at the following sabbat of Beltaine.

When the Catholic Church preempted this rite, as with so many others, it kept the essence of the sabbat, but appropriated its essential properties for Christ. Ostara has always been a rite celebrating the resurrection and restoration of the Sun. The Holy Roman Church simply ascribed the resurrection to Christ, also known as the Son, who is also described in biblical terms as "the Light." Even the way in which "Easter" is arrived at is Pagan in origin, calculated from the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Equinox. That is, of course, unless a full moon falls on that date; at which time, the Easter sabbath falls on the following Sunday. While they were forced by an unchangeable astronomical event into keeping the essential date of the original Pagan Sabbat, it seems that having the Holy Easter Sabbath on a full moon was simply too much for the Church to abide!

Ostara is the beginning of the fertility festivals. Buds begin to push their way through the earth to reach the strengthening sun's light; animals in the wild feel the ancient instinct to breed; the energies of Nature shift subtly from the torpor of Winter to the exuberant activity of Spring. It is a time of new beginnings, of action, of saying goodbye to the old and making room for the new. We can see this urge reflected in our lives even today. We talk of "Spring cleaning" and "In Spring, a young man's fancy turns to..."; the desire to run the greening fields (or, in our world, walk the parks, fish, and other outdoor activities) vies urgently with the obligation of our workday routines, often resulting in "sick leave days" and spur-of-the-moment "personal days" where the real excuse is "Spring Fever."

Symbols of this holiday include eggs, rabbits, and flowers of all kinds.
Modern secular activities such as the dying of Easter Eggs are remnants of ancient Pagan traditions. The Anglo-Saxons painted eggs with their hopes and dreams and presented them as a gift to Eostre. These eggs were then buried in the Earth, so that the Earth-Mother would know dreams of her children, in hopes that She would see fit to help them realize their desires. This practice predates Christianity by approximately 1000 years.

Rabbits (hares) were the companions of Eostre, and she is still often pictured with a hare by Her side. Because of their well-acknowledged reproductive ability, they are the perfect compliments to the start of a fertility-based season.

In many cultures, the Goddess was known not only as the Goddess of Fertility, but also as the Goddess of Grain. Therefore, special cakes and breads were baked and given to Her in offering. This tradition remained, long after the original reasons were lost, and we still see people baking special Easter breads and cakes today.

Other foods traditional to this season include those made of seeds, as well as pine nuts. Also, green leafy vegetables and sprouts are equally appropiate. Some groups create special dishes made of flowers, such as stuffed nasturtiums or carnation cupcakes.

Activities appropriate to celebrate the day include those listed above, as well as randomly collecting wildflowers on a walk through the woods, or buying a mixed bouquet from a florist. The flowers you choose will often reveal your inner thoughts and emotions, and their meanings to you can be divined through books, pendulum, and your intuition.

Some groups set the seeds they'll soon be planting within the sacred Circle of their Ostara rituals. In this way, either a special charging ritual can be done for the seeds, or the seeds can simply absorb the energy of the Circle. They can then be planted safely after the next full moon.
Ritual cleaning is often done, though usually in the secular vein today. It seems people are driven by the need to throw open the windows to our homes and force out all the stale, winter air. Many of us clean the house from top to bottom; sweeping every nook and cranny from ceiling to floor; cleaning out cabinets and drawers, and scrubbing them, too. Often, many choose this time of year to change the liners in drawers, or to put away the winter bedding in favor of the lighter-weight summer linen. Heavy winter clothes are washed, folded, and put away and the lighter weight spring and summer clothes find their way into our closets.

This same mundane ritual of household cleaning can be applied to our inner selves, as well. Use Ostara to clean out all the mental cobwebs and to throw away all the old, negative modes of thought. Throw open the doors to your mind, heart, and soul and let the gentle breezes of Ostara breathe new hope and the vigor of youth into your newly awakening life.

A Gathering of Goddesses

Honouring the Goddess Within
Dancing~Singing~Meditation & more
A Remembering, A Renewal, A Celebration
The invitation is extended to all women to join us

The Goddess gathering is about community/tribal revival. The longing to belong, and to have our lives make a difference. It’s a map for a new way of living, bringing back the sacred into daily life. I have longed for a tribe/community. Out of my longing I offer this circle as one way of sharing the wisdom I have been so privileged to witness over the years with many teachers. I offer each Goddess circle gathering as a guide, as inspiration and as a platform to building a harmonious community. Drawing from my own life experience and participation in many circles in NSW & SA, I invite you to join our Goddess circle, bring a friend & discover the power of circling Goddesses. It may just change your world…

“If ever the world sees a time when women shall come together purely and simply for the benefit of mankind, it will be a power such as the world has never known.” Matthew Arnold, British poet (1822-1888)

Tara P Er has been on a journey of self discovery since 1988. This journey has taken her through many various healing modalities and self development workshops/courses/seminars. Tara is currently an Iyengar Introductory Level 2 teacher.
‘I bring to these evenings many exercises and techniques that I have acquired on my journey of life. While living in a small country town south of Sydney close to Mount Gulaga (a sacred women’s mountain) I was first introduced to a circle, a circle that became healing and empowering for myself and very supportive. I felt as though I had come home to myself, I experienced community as I had never experienced it before. Moving back to Sydney I could not find a circle a community in my area and felt called to create my own. The circle gatherings began in February 2003 and continues to grow’

Cronulla Yoga Centre, 1/57-61 Cronulla Street, Cronulla
(Entrance via Purley Pl, Above Thy Restaurant)
Mobile: 0414 527 481
Email: cronullayoga@unwired.com.au

'The Sacred circle, thousands of years old, speaks to the hearts of all people.
